This Digital Film Series at CINECAST 3D ASIA 2012 is a Tribute to the Visual Art of DIGITAL Filmmaking and the ideal platform for you to showcase yourself as being among the best in independent filmmaking and use CINECAST 3D ASIA 2012 as an invaluable gateway to secure your future as an icon in the industry.

ELIGIBILITY
CINECAST 3D ASIA 2012 is dedicated to creating opportunities for independent filmmakers by bringing support and recognition to the excellence in the art of filmmaking. This digital feature film competition is open to all independent filmmakers from Asia. The film entry must be submitted by either the: - director; producer; or copyright owner.

HOW TO ENTER
1. Download the Entry Form by clicking on the “Indie Digital Film Competition Entry Form” icon link below and print it out.
2. Complete and Courier/Mail your Entry Form with the following :
a) Digital Film entry up to 120 mins on DVD/ Blu-Ray regardless of original shooting format.
b) Entry Fee – (USD $25 / RM 100)
You may send as many films as you want! There is no limit to the number of entries that you may submit.
Each entry requires a separate DVD or Blu-Ray , entry form and entrance fee.

RULES AND REGULATION
1. This Competition is starting from March 1, 2012.
2. The closing date for receipt of entries is JUNE 1 2012. FINAL ENTRY DEADLINE: Entries postmarked by MAY 25, 2012 or earlier.
3. The Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry for any reason, including those that are incomplete, altered or illegible entries.
4. An entry fee of USD$10 (RM30) applies to each entry. Payments from countries outside Malaysia must be in the form of a bank check, money order or cash. Personal checks are not accepted from outside Malaysia
5. There is no limit to the number of entries submitted by each entrant. Each entry requires a separate DVD or Blu-Ray , entry form and entry fee.
6. Entry forms may be photocopied. Entrants may submit multiple entries in as many categories as they wish, or submit the same short film in multiple categories.
7. Each entry requires a separate DVD, entry form and entrance fee. (Entrance fee is non-refundable)
8. This competition is open to anyone, Malaysians or non-Malaysians, who is 25 years of age or older, except employees of Broadcast Empire, their agencies, and anyone else connected with the creation and administration of the promotion.
9. Each entrant must certify that the entry is their original work.
10. Each group entrant must sign the emailed entry form and clearly state their role in the entry, i.e. director, producer, etc.
11. Submitted DVD or Blu-Ray must be shot using a Digital Video / Cinema Camera and the length of each Feature entry must be up to 120 minutes. Total running time of the video must not be over 120 minutes in length, including front and back credits.
12. Each entry must be in DVD or Blu-ray format only, regardless of the original film format. Entries MUST be PAL format only. NTSC is NOT accepted.
13. Short film or video entry on DVD or Blu-ray must at least be in HD (1920x 1080) shooting format.
14. The decisions of The Organiser on the identity of the winners are final and binding. No correspondence will be entered into.
15. Foreign DVD or Blu-ray entries must be formatted for Region Code 0 (Universal).
16. The Organisers reserves the right to utilise all material submitted for future Cinecast Expo promotional purposes. .
17. Entries will not be returned. No responsibility will be accepted for entries lost, delayed or damaged in the post or inefficiently pre-stamped.
18. Short films that are submitted must be the entrants’ original work and shall not infringe on any copyrights or any other rights of any third parties.
19. Contestants agree that they have obtained all required permissions regarding music, sound and/or images presented in your materials.
20. By entering the competition, the entrant agrees that the Competition organisers will not be held liable for any copyright infringements perpetrated by you or your materials.
21. The Competition organisers reserve the right to not screen any Video or Digital film(s) for any reason it deems valid. Winners will be required to sign an affidavit confirming that their Video or Digital film(s) is original and he/she holds all rights. Failure to sign and return the form within the required time period (30 days) or provision of false information may result in disqualification and an alternate winner may be selected.
22. Entrants will retain all ownership rights to their materials submitted.
23. Entry materials (DVD or Blu-ray) submitted will not be returned to the entrant. The Competition organisers are not responsible for late, lost, damaged, misdirected, postage due, stolen, or misappropriated entries.
24. Winners are selected by a judging panel of industry professionals consisting of independent producers, production companies, agents, distributors, filmmakers, and other film industry professionals who may be substituted at the discretion of the competition organizers. All entries are judged equally based on these 5 areas: Content Originality (Quality of storyline, and script), Production (Camera work, lighting, and shot composition), Post-Production (Editing, transitions, pacing, continuity, and flow), Image (Focus, color, and lighting), Sound Quality (Clarity, consistency of audio levels, and lack of noise)
25. Winners will be announced June 14th 2012 at the Digital Film Awards Night and will be notified by mail and/or email and will also be listed on the competition website at www.cinecastexpo.com The Competition organisers will use its best efforts to announce the winners at the designated time, but will not be held liable for any unforeseen delays.
26. All prizes will be awarded to the first name as it appears on the entry form, and division of prizes among co-directors is the responsibility of the winners. However, multiple directors will be listed on our website and in all press releases.
27. The Competition organisers will use its best efforts to send prizes out in a timely fashion. All federal, state, and local taxes, and customs fees, when applicable, are the sole responsibility of the winner. The Competition organisers will not pay any winners' taxes. Please note that prizes which are being sent to winners from Sponsors may take longer than prizes sent directly from the Competition organisers. If the winner has not received any portion of sponsored prizes within 180 days and has not responded to the Competition organisers, the Competition organisers will no longer be responsible for delivery of sponsored prizes.
28. By entering the Competition, contestants and/or their parents or legal guardian (if such entrant is a minor) agree to accept and be bound by the decisions of the competition and its judges which are final and binding in all matters.
29. Entrant agrees to be bound by all terms of these official competition rules and regulations as established herein. Employees, their families, subsidiaries, and affiliates are not eligible.
30. The Competition organisers reserve the right to extend the competition deadline for any unforeseen reasons if needed.
31. Entry constitutes permission to use winner's name, likeness, and voice for future advertising and publicity purposes without additional compensation. Void where prohibited.
32. Judges’ decisions are final. No correspondence will be entertained.
